which mainly include series excited permanent magnet motor controller and separately excited motor controller
applied to the motion and regulation of electric tricycle, industrial or mining trailer,
porter, golf car, electric shovel loader, dune buggy, electric field service vehicle and electric forklift.
This manual mainly describes the information on technical features, installation and usage methods, and maintenance of the presently-producing series excited motor controller by Keya Company.

Main Features and Technical Parameters
1.Monitoring on operating voltage:
By measuring the effective value of battery voltage, it enables the alarming indication when battery voltage is lower than the 20% of rated voltage,
which prompts the operator to timely charge the battery. In this way, it can effectively protect battery from undercharge damage and extend its service life.
2.With adopting high-power MOSFEF high-frequency design, it enables noise-free operation and the consumption reduction of motor and battery.
3.With adopting pure copper and tinning for connection wire of heavy current and self-locking plug-in on control terminal, the connection becomes more reliable.
4.With fully-sealed pressed aluminum shell and anodizing treatment, it enables good
performance in heat sinking and improved performance in moisture resistance.
5.With over-temperature protection (75âÂÂÂÂÂÂ) circuit, it enables the controller to effectively protect itself when overloading
(Note: output stops on overheating and it will automatically restore in 10 minutes)
6.Under-voltage protection can extend the service life of battery.
7.Over-current protection can effectively protect DC motor.
8.With over-voltage protection, it can effectively protect the DC motor and controller from damaging due to over-voltage when voltage is higher than the 20% of rated voltage.

Installation
For purpose of full-power output, the controller shall be fastened on a clean and flat metal surface with four bolts. (According to the shape and installation dimensions)
the installation position of controller can be randomly selected.
However, the installation position shall be carefully selected in order to keep the controller as clean and dry as possible.
If there is no clean place, it is necessary to cover the controller to protect it from water and other dirt.
For a better heat sinking, thermally conductive silicon can be filled between the controller shell and the metal surface
on which it is to be installed (it is unnecessary to do so most of time)

Connecting Methods for Certain Accelerator and Controller
Connection between Controller and Potentiometer Accelerator
The wire connection between potentiometer accelerator and controller (please choose to use potentiometer-type controller) is showed (as the left figure), which requires the input resistance value of potentiometer at 0~10K±10%.
When the resistance is at 300Ω, the controller begins outputting power; at 9500Ω, full power output is enabled.
For purpose of ensuring the normal operation of controller, the resistance shall be less than 50Ω when potentiometer is not in rotation,
if the resistance is too high, the controller will not work due to controller operation sequence error.
The maximum value shall be more than 9600Ω and less than 11000Ω, or the controller will regard the potentiometer as broken and cut off the control.
